There are four different cards types: Normal, Normal Puzzle, Special and Special Puzzle. You can differ them by the card template, though the Special has several card templates.
The Normal and Normal Puzzle have a value of 1. The Special and Special Puzzle have a value of 2. That means, that you cannot trade a normal against a Special, but you can trade a Special against two Normals. You can find more about it in the Trade Rules.

The normal cards are the ones that are used the most in this TCG! They are divided into different categories: Art & Animation, Music, TV & Movies and Countries & Cultures.
This are then divided in the following sub-categories:
Art & Animation Artworks / Anime & Manga / Anime & Manga Characters / Puzzles
Music Artists / Band / Band Members / Puzzles
TV & Movies Movies / Dramas / Actors & Actresses / Puzzles
Countries & Cultures Places / Regional / Japan / *
* in the future, there may be sub-categories for Korea, China, Taiwan, etc, depending on the decks we get then!
In the special cards, there are some sets in there that have a unique function and are different to any other set! Those cards are...
Layout Cards
The layout cards are sets that represents the past layout that Psychodelic has had during its life! Layout sets consist of six cards, and like a puzzle, all six together represent the image of the layout!
Date Cards
The date cards are all part of one set, and they are personal cards, which means, ever card can be only owned by one person, usually the person whose name is on the card. Also, this cards can be later exchanged for prizes! This cards can be requested in the forum, and the date they have on it belongs to the day they were requested. The member will then keep the card as long as she wishes, and the more time she keeps the card, the bigger the prizes she can exchange the card for later!
Shonen/Shojo Cards
The shonen/shojo cards, like the date cards, are kind of personal too, since each card was made after a member's request, but they can also be traded and won in games! Each member can get one for free, and after that, they can ask for more on their birthday! Shonen/shojo cards are divided in two groups, the AniMa and the Real cards. The AniMa are where the shonen/shojo cards with anime and manga characters are, the Real are where the real life celebrities are.
Year Cards
The year cards are absolutely unique, like the date cards! They are in a way similar to the date cards, but they can only be requested during January! They get than the year that is beginning written on it, and by the end of the year, you can exchange then for prizes!

Wanted Cards
Eventhough all cardsets are supposed to have their own wanted card, you may still use this other ones if you want to!
The Wanted Cards are cards you can use to show the visitors of your site what cards you are still missing from a set you are collecting.
The wanted cards have the same template as the card they represent, may it be normal, puzzle, special or special puzzle respectively.
Wish Cards
You can win this cards through games or special updates, and can trade them in the Board for real cards. This cards also count in your cards count.
